| Block was sent out to be cryo treated. Crank is beyond hard as I had to order carbide end mills to drill the crank to modify the oiling. The simple test was run a small file over one of the sharp corners of the counter weight. The file literally was repelled by the cranks hardness. Its going to be interesting to machine this crank. Manifolds will be fully back purged and will have some provisions done to aid against cracking. Quality materials and the correct approach to welding with proper practices make or break a properly designed/fabbed manifold. Greddy timing belt is made of stronger material and stretches less. This prolongs belt life considerably As for response while a shorter stroke will yield faster and higher revolutions, this combination coupled with the cylinder head work with increased displacement with the addition of the EFR and tubular manifolds this engine will have, Im quite confident the efficiency and response of this engine will quite impressive. Its going to be very interesting in any regard.
