for say $400, remove the rear interior trim parts yourself (this is time consuming but not hard to do) and have a local shop install the parts, figure these costs (with shop labor rates at $85/hr ): - Each rear strut - 1.5 hours ($128), total = $256, let's just call it $300 - Tension Rods - ~1+ hour, let's say $100 $400+$400-parts = $800 Even if it ran $900 - still cheaper than that shop. Did the shop also include a wheel alignment in the estimate? That adds another $100 or so if not...
