blew up on the main straight. We were in the classroom beside the track, and heard it go BOOM right as it passed by the window. Lots of smoke, and probably oil and coolant too (and maybe some metal chunks as well...). I might have got one additional lap if I had started closer to the front. We had 30 in the group, and I was one of the last ones on track. I think I passed about 20 cars before the checkered flag came out, but didn't lap anyone.
