Subject	Vents on nose panels

Message	I've seen several versions of nose panels with vents on them. The first thing that comes to mind is do they help with reducing the temps in the engine bay? Seems like the added airflow would reduce under hood temps and keep the plastic and harnesses from deteriorating.
