Putting the motor in the trunk will not make the car mid-engine, it will make the car rear-engine. You will need to move the engine forward of the rear axle, which means you will need to move the seats forward, which means now the dash and firewall are in the way, so they need to move forward or you the driver will need to be a dwarf or a child, plus if you want to get into the car without crawling, the A-pillars will need relocating. ORRR You can put the engine in the trunk, but then you need to relocated the rear axle and entire rear suspension assembly rearwards, which means you need to fab a new bumper cover, fab a hatch, completely remake the rear fenders, oh and that fuel tank is going to have to be relocated up in the front of the car now....or maybe it can go on a trailer out the rear and feed the motor's fuel system via an umbilical. THAT would be unique, and we all know being "unique" is the dopest, so I say this is the choice project route. I would just email Nissan and ask them to send you a whole new chassis/frame......or maybe they'll make you a deal on that MID4 they have collecting dust in Zama.
