I've had one for about a year with no problems. Some recommend adding more grease to the gearbox, but since I got a replacement warranty, I'd prefer not to do anything that might void it. The pads they sell won't give you the results that you can get from Meg's or Lake pads, but they do work. 
You might want to print these off and see if they will take them. If the polisher is just on sale with no sale coupon required then either of these should be honored. If it requires a coupon, then it's kind of hit or miss. I had a manager allow a 25% off coupon on a Tent Sale item, which is something they supposedly don't do.
