Message the cost.

Besides complete retards, nobody looking into E85 hasn't already checked out the gas stations where they will be driving/playing. If they feel they can get enough range to enjoy their car, they will continue looking into t. If they see they can't, they stop, as there is no point to continue. So your location gripe is really a *you* thing. Which is perfectly cool, we all get that. And it's understandable if that's how your location is.

If I had a car with more than an 8 gallon tank, I could get to Houston from DFW on E85. That's pretty damn far, no? Hardly could be considered "tethered to a single gas station" if you ask any reasonable person.

So again, I truly think you are blowing it out of proportion for whatever personal reason. And I get that, I do it myself on some things too.
