Nothing is ever as simple as the internet temptresses make it out to be....."Oh just switch over to E85, voila, easy HP". This may be true on other, more modern cars, but not Z32's. Not to mention you will be attached to that gas station which offers E85.What will happen if our ever-whimsical federal government quits subsidizing it? Will they continue to sell it? I have witnessed pump fuel blends disappear before and leave many car guys high & dry. Can this happen to you in your area? Is it worth the risk? Me personally, if I don't need to wring maximum horsepower out of the car (on public US streets where am I going to honestly do that without being one of these highway "roll-racing" numbnuts?) then I want to be able to use the Z everywhere I can use my beater. For the one or two times I really want to max it out, drag strip race fuel should be fine. Not like I am racing for pinks or something. Step back, take an honest assessment of what you actually do with the car, and decide if it is really worth the trade-off. From what I have observed it really isn't worth it for 99% of Z32 owners, whether they are willing to admit it or not.
