Subject	Numbers/Letters on side of cylinder head

Message	Hello to everyone on twinturbo.net I hate to make this my first post but I've done some searching and I haven't come up with anything yet. I'm sure it's there but I am about out of time on this one. Can anyone tell me what the numbers/letters on the side of the cylinder heads is ? All I can make out is an L which it looks like is the starting point,the rest of it is ground off. Is that a serial # or a part # ? Obviously unless it was ground off from the factory (I can't think of any reason why they would do that) then something isn't right. The odd thing is is that the serial # on the block is untouched. So I figured I'd better find out the significance of the tag on the heads before I move on this. Cheers
