Message	Important if not one of the most outside of the oil galley plugs. These must be removed and replaced when doing a build. The amount of coked oil behind them that can/will dislodge itself is considerable. I can't count the times I've gone back through other ppls work to find the basics of something like this never done. Its engine building 101. As for being a matter of opinion, I couldn't disagree more. Its good your shop took the time to remove the oil plugs but that is only half the battle in ensuring that the galleys are 100% clean. The orifice in which the restrictors and check valves are located directly tie into the main oil galley going down the middle of the block. If there is debris/coked oil in the main galley there will be the same in the orifice where these two items reside. FWIW...i use a drill/drill bit and a slide hammer to get all oil plugs, restrictors, check valves out. Pipe/rifle brush them clean when I do my final cleaning (wash by hand) and that is the ONLY way to guarantee an assembly be completely clean/free of debris and build up inside the galleys.
