your little title of victim status. In my heart and brain it was and never has been and never will be an offensive word. It was never spoken by anyone around me in an offensive or insulting manner. In fact, by your logic, true Japanese shouldn't even be offended, only those hyper sensitive Americans of Japanese ancestry that might have been imprisoned in WW2 by the Democrat hero FDR. I know, everyone wants a victim status so they can claim to Be Greatly Offended and Confront Others Who Commit Offenses. I refuse to allow simple language mechanics to become corrupt tools of word nazis such as yourself. Jap is short for Japanese. Brit is short for British. Matt is short for Matthew. You are an American. You shouldn't even be offended. But who am I to tell you that? You can be offended by anything you want, obviously. It makes it easier when you self identify with a hyphenated nationality. Do you hold dual citizenship?
