Message I just powder coated mine. Take a look.

What I did was...

1. uncrimp the cover from the bowl.
2. remove cover oring, top filter oring, filter, and bottom oring.
3. sandblast cover and bowl.
4. recrimp cover to bowl. Discard all orings and filter.
5. powder coat resevoir.
6. i ended up buying a canister filter and I will spice it in the return hose.

filter:

3/8" hose barbs, 1.25" wide x 3" long

if you put the resevoir in the oven with the oil soaked filter in it, it will smoke like a bitch and all your orings would get ruined.
