Better heat shields means less heat to the engine bay less heat in the bay means less heat demand from the radiator less radiator demand means less power demand from water pump less water pump work means more power at the wheelsIn theory this is true. Whether this actually holds true in practice, whether it can be measured, or actually outweighs the weight gain of the heat shields is another issue. Less heat in the cabin is a side benefit with big bennies if you're running the A/C based on a similar logic as above. Maybe obvious to you just figured I'd share.
