Break in oil is fine..I prefer Motul break in oil. You will need at least 1-2 oil changes prior to switching to a synthetic like the dominator you are in question to.
My picks are always Motul first and if that isnt obtainable then AMSOIL. I've used AMSOIL for years and just switched to MOTUL for a few different reasons mainly their racing oil but for street applications both work well. I ran AMSOIL in my last Z I owned and ran the racing 20w-50 weight and I purposely didn't change the oil for 13k. I pulled the oil and inspected everything. After that many miles I could still see my finger through the oil while it was draining. It stayed quite clear and very clean. Thats the benefit of using full ester based oils. They last longer and take a huge amount of heat and abuse before they finally let go.
