| This is really more of a small peek of whats to come. Let me know what you think. I wanted something that was Lambo-esque interior design so I decided on the quilted diamond design. I had originally planned to do the stitching in red and then rethought it and went with a gloss black thread slightly less thick than a baseball stitch. I figured the red would be a bit of overkill being the red stitching is overdone anyway and what I really wanted was the pattern to stand on its own. I ordered 2 full yards of Alcantara, jet black from Gulf Fabrics. Previous to that I had requested swatches from several vendors only to find I was getting standard or nova suede instead. So being Gulf Fabrics is the only current importer of Alcantara I went straight to them. They do sell it to other vendors but being I wasn't getting what I wanted they got the business. All of the tweed covered panels will be redone with the same material but some sections will be perforated so pattern will change in areas such as the arm rests and center console lid. The true color of the material is what it looks like in the first two photos, the lighter color is from the lighting conditions. It has not been steamed yet so it will tighten up a bit more and all visible wrinkles will be gone. It also wont look so thick on the leading edge that faces you.
