So far this is what i've done: 1) removed headliner retainer by prying open the access panel to the screw at the plastic on the rear quarter glass panel area. Then used a phillips and unscrewed it out. I pulled on it the 3 tabs towards the rear and popped it off.2) open the hatch up then removed as much plastic on the hatch as possible, removing the 3rd brake light etc... 3) then removed the strut at the hatch side on the drivers side with a 12mm open ended wrench prying it and cushioning the plastic under neath it with a soft thick towel. it pops out quite easily at the right angle. 4) took my cargo cover and propped the hatch up. Then removed the other side strut the same way. 5) took the plastic that was underneath the struts off. Used a flat head screwdriver to pry it off the metal clips they were on. 6)disconnected rear defog and removing the grounds too. Fished the wires through top of the hatch's seal at the top. THe rubber seal that funnels the wires through at the hatch squeezes off... I did the same thing to both sides of the hatch. ALso disconnected the section of the wire that connects to the wiper motor and third brake light on the drivers side. Left the wires dangling inside the car 7) Then I removed the cargo cover from being propped and slowly brought the hatch down with out latching it in place. Went inside the car and pulled the headliner down and disconnected the rear wiper sprayer line then unbolted the nuts off from underneath the headliner that attach to the hinges of the hatch. Removed all 4 nuts... *********** I think my cars hatch is just sitting on the studs but it won't budge when i try pulling it out bymyself... any tips on removing the hatch?
