Message However, for water-oil (SPL/ McCullough), a thermostatic is not ideal, as the water acts as a 'heating-medium' or 'thermal bath' to stabilize the temperature on startup.

- If you use an SPL rad I do recall Kuah stating (and supplying) the Billion Hi-flow T-stat for coolant flow as well, I do not know if an OEM/nismo one would be up to the task of taking care of both coolant and oil temperature loads. I do know my oil temp is very stable and well within range during street and track driving.
