I was figuring 40-50 sq ft for the wall behind the seats and the floor of the rear. Although, typically a roll is 100 sq ft and 1/8 inch thick. Meaning he used around 150 sq ft and had a 1/4 inch thick layer of MLV (but that doesn't match up to his estimated weight addition, no where close).
I'm planning on getting the MLV from the link I posted above and hopefully having enough material to split the cost with someone local.
As for the foam, I believe you can go to home depot and get any close celled foam. I'm going to go with what Ron suggested and do the 1.5 inch under the trunk carpet and then 1/2 inch everywhere else.
