If they stay NA, I think they would have to. These days it's all about power density. High power out of low weight/displacement. You either do that by boosting or cranking up the compression. the only way to run really high compression these days is to direct inject. Honestly I think it would be dumb not to put a detuned version of the VR38DETT in it.
