Message Port volume is the same. The port divider is more towards the flange (essentially higher in the port) than the 40P or TT heads. The port angle is also steeper on the NA heads as well, meaning they are steeper and more straight up and down. For a forced induction application the NA head is actually better suited than the 40P heads. Line of site is more direct on the 30P castings. I've used a few NA heads in some turbo builds and they've done quite well and made just as much power if not more as the TT heads. Mind you both the TT heads and the NA heads I speak of were both ported. I've not had a chance to run stock modified heads (cams/springs) on stock valves to compare between the two variants.
