Is a bad idea and poor approach to building a good, reliable car. Beyond the trendy aspect of Jdm stuff, I think it's usually not the greatest quality and worse than I expected. But, most importantly, the is usually ZERO ability for recourse if the part fails, very limited product support if any, and replacement parts a complete pain in the ass to source. If I can find a company that makes a high quality part in the US, or is US based with good contact info and support, that's my first outlet. Not to say I don't have Jdm parts, I just look for the best option in terms of longevity down the road.
