Sorry for the combo, but this was the only reply link still unlocked. Nick, --- My car is a TT swap, but the nice feature about the adjustable oem suspension is just that...its adjustable. You have the combo of Touring and Sport modes where (from my knowledge) both offer a great ride and handling. The advantage is that you can go from a luxury ride to a sportier setting with the press of a button. It is a nice feature to have if you want to stick with something close to oem suspension. If you only want to have lowering springs with oem tt shocks, then i would recommend you run the shocks in a sport mode to better match the dampening characteristics with the springs (eibach, tein, etc...). If people remove the controller (or if they fail)...there is a way to adjust the system so that you can put the shocks into whichever setting you want them in, but I am not familiar with that since i mainly deal with coilovers. I do know that the method can be found with some google searching, but it may take some time to find. I am glad to see you are running a spacer to keep the rim off the calipers. As for the wheel/tire combo sticking out beyond the rear quarters, it is probably and alignment issue unless you are running aftermarket rims with some low offsets. That effect could be magnified when you go lower depending on what exactly is causing this issue. What mods do you have done so far concerning the suspension, wheels, and tires? Kyle, --- When you lower your car, you need to adjust more of the alignment than just the camber in order to have a proper alignment and decent tire wear characteristics. Our car came with almost no suspension adjustments from the factory, so adding the FUCA's, front tension rods, and RUCA's (as a minimum) will give you enough adjustment to get everything back in to its proper place. The lower you go, the more adjustment you will need. Also, when i say to add these pieces, I am referring to aftermarket pieces like the ones made my SPL or Powertrix. The oem pieces will give you no further adjustment and will only provide you with the ultra cushy ride. If having spherical bearings doesnt really seam like your style, then I believe Z1 offers components by SPC which would come with urethane bushings instead of the bearings.
IMO, spherical bearings are great to have and makes everything so much more precise. I love them, and theyre not really harsh at all.
