Message regarding their purpose. Most folks will all agree they are decent ways to prelube the system. However, I'm not sure it has been fully understood what happens when pressure drops and the sump kicks in. If you set the sump to supply below 50psi, one has to wonder what you have to do to get into that situation. I'd assume the oil pick-up tube would start to go partially dry and the pressure would fall-off. The question is...would the Accusump be able to work quickly enough to recover or would the damage to the bearings already be in progress?

I think Kuah had an Accusump on his green race car and still spun a bearing.
