I cut my fenders myself. The tops of the signals are 7.5" from the hood/fender gap and the trailing edges 5" from the door/fender gap. You can determine the shape of the hole by the shape of the parts that are below flush, taking into account that the forward tabs flex backward and snap in to hold the signal in place. Don't go any lower on the fender than I did because the unibody is back there. If I had tried to mount any lower, there would not have been room.
