Random House Publishing Remember, it was not known that the holocaust was taking place until after the fact. Those who knew had no way to communicate it to the world, or had no desire to. So if the evils of the Nazi party were unknown to the American political realm, then WHY did these companies and many Americans support Hitler prior to the war? Why would people support the Nazis? is the question you should be asking, what was it about him that they supported? rather than locking up the idea of Hitler in a "out-of-bounds" zone because your thought-masters have told you he was simply a monster, just like in the movies, and not suitable for discussion. Well of course they dont want you to talk about him, to look deeper than movie portrayal of him, if it just so happens that he espoused many of the same types of nonsense that they are espousing today.
