I seem to remember my key hole used to illuminate green though i cant remember what triggered it to turn on. (i have a 96 and not sure if it is different) Is it supposed to come on when you hit the unlock on the keyless entry remote, or when you pull the handle and its locked? It does not work anymore. I had the interior panel off for other stuff so i figured i'd see what i can find out. I did not find much in search or in my FSM. After removing the handle, it appears as though there is a small hole at an angle in some clear plastic where a bulb may have gone. I put an aftermarket LED in there and sure enough it illuminates the key hole. So at this point, im thinking the bulb fell out of this clear plastic hole and is laying inside the door somewhere on a harness. I cannot find it anywhere. Is this key hole illuminated further down inside the lock barrel and not through this clear plastic hole? If i decide to just add an aftermarket LED to this clear plastic hole, which wires should i use in the door (or elsewhere) to illuminate the key hole during the appropriate times? Thanks in advance!
