I fill up about 2-3 gallons of REALLY warm water and right after I'm done using the pad, I spray the hell out of it with simple green. After letting it sit for ~1min, I dunk it in the water, folding the pad only in 1/2 and squeeze to get the crud out... I've I've compressed the pad completely as if you're wringing out a towel minus the twisting. I dry the pads out pad side down on a towel to allow them to drain and so the moisture doesn't create mold. The ONLY problem some of the pads have experienced is a slight cupping on the velcro side but doesn't affect performance in any way once you stick it to the buffer.
