| Message | and it somewhat makes sense. It's a safety thing; if you accelerate hard, and the plate loosens up and hits you in the face, you might get it in the face and cut. We'll get a ticket for A) not having the plate secured on the front of the vehicle (zap straps does NOT mean secure), and B) because of a safety violation.  You wouldn't put a box cutter in the same spot, even if it was lodged securely. You're better off having no plate on the front than with it on the windshield. I don't read the law/rulebooks, I just go ask a few cops.  They're nice in Canada.
