Subject	Outsourced factory parts on Z's and other cars?

Message	Just a random question I was thinking today. What parts on our cars are manufactured by outside companies as OEM suppliers and not in factory by Nissan. I know the calipers, heat exchangers, and some electronics, but what else? What percentage of a main stream production sports cars on average is made in house vs outsourced. I've always been under the impression that the higher end the car, the more in depth the core engineering of the car is, but the more other periferal components are got from outside companies. This I'm guessing provides for the very best in a specific part made by a company that specializes in it, plus cuts out on R&D and manufacturing and overhead by the car company. I.E. Ferrari apppears to use MOMO style interior products that they cover, Brembo brakes, etc. etc.
