consider adding one - much more convenient than using a "cherry picker" (takes up less room) and it can serve multiple functions - like when you haul something heavy into your garage that you need to unload, just drive your truck inside and use the hoist to unload it easily (or load it). also helpful for transporting things around the garage..benches, cabinets, heavy parts to your workbench, etc. I see you're a steel worker - you could definitely use one of them. consider using foam-board insulation for the ground before pouring cement. heat will radiate off the floor rather than soak in the cold concrete. lots of energy saved. use green board and sound-insulation for the shared walls of the man-cave.
