Message is easier than removing the tranny? You would need to remove the drive shaft, shifter linkage, positive starter wire, clutch slave and cats/testpipes to get it out.

If you drop the front suspension cross member then you would only have to unbolt the cats/testpipes from the down pipes, unbolt the steering knuckle, unbolt the sway bar from the chassis and tension rods from the lower control arms.

I have found it to be less hassle and a little quicker, + you don't have to drain the tranny using this method.

*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :)
