I was doing the accounting/business thing as a fallback if I couldn't get into dental school, but I really have no desire to be an accountant (despite probably making more later in life). Luckily UNT has a dual master program for an MBA and MSES. I'm almost done with the MBA portion, but still have about 30 hours of engineering stuff left before I can even start the masters portion of it. Then, hopefully, having two master degrees will make up for my switching schools/states so much. Which I've heard from many credible sources is about the worst thing nowadays. So we will see, but the dentist dream is getting more and more faint every day.
