Message Positions are very attractive to companies because they get you right out of school for (relatively) short money.

There are many facets to a ME degree, and many paths you can explore once you have it. You can concentrate on testing, design or manufacturing, or any combination of the three.

Having a technician/technical background only helps you in the field.

The only perceivable downsides are as follows:

* Many (if not all) companies are cost driven, so much of your work will be finding a balance between quality, performance and cost.

* You will likely be working with China, Mexico, India or another low cost country for your production work. This can make you want to stab a baby seal.

Good luck in whatever you choose.

One company you should never buy from
