Message is going to provide good "cornering characteristics". You aren't going to go driving around on drag slicks trying to pull corners.

Why on earth would anyone put drag slicks on the rear and performance tires up front?? Can you not imagine why that would be dangerous?

As far as mixing front and back performance tires. it can be done but realize you are going to alter the nature of the car's handling based on whichever rubber compound and tread design offers more/less grip. You could create severe understeer, severe oversteer, just from the tire mixture alone. This can be offset then by differing tire sizes from front to rear to make the understeer/oversteer worse, or at best neutral it out, in which case it makes zero sense to mix up tires to begin with. This doesnt even take into account the effects that suspension modifications and alignment adjustments can have on handling.

All of this is pointless to ponder if you aren't already driving the car and identified what CURRENT characteristics it has that you either want to eliminate, increase, dial down a little, etc etc etc. Obviously the sensible way to make such changes is not by playing mix-and-match with tires. That is what a race team might do when they have $75k worth of tires laying around to play around with. For the rest of us, what ever set of tires we buy, we are stuck with until they wear out or we feel like throwing more good money after bad. You cant adjust tire settings (apart from pressure). So the logical thing to do is buy a set of tires that make sense based on cost, purpose, and other tangibles like durability, quietness, etc etc and then tweak the car's "cornering characteristics" by modifying and adjusting the suspension.

The most I would do as far as getting creative with front vs rear tire choice, is play with widths of front vs rear. Nissan spent considerable time testing the car and came to the conclusion that they liked the vehicle with either the same front vs rear width or the rears slightly wider than the fronts.....it stands to reason that this is a safe point to start from.
