| I'm looking to buy a new set of tires this Spring. I want a sticky street tire in the rears for sure. I don't know what to do with the fronts. The main use from my car will be highway and twisty back-road driving, both during warm months only (no rain). I want to have great straight-line traction, but still maintain good cornering characteristics. My question is this: Is it best to put the same kind of tire (ultra high performance sticky tire) on the fronts as I do on the rears? Or, will I be able to run a less sticky tire up front (higher treadwear rating) without compromising good cornering on the back-road twisties?
