Message I think it really depends though because iron my be better at keeping fluid from boiling by keeping max temperature spikes under control but is poorer at dissipating heat, so its harder to cool once it does heat and it dissipates less heat from the system than aluminum.

I'm guessing that on street pads, aluminum is always better. On race pads with operating temperatures that allow brake fluid boiling to become a point of failure, maybe iron is better.
