Message as aluminum. You can actually touch the iron calipers before you can the aluminum ones. Less retained heat is better.

Not that it makes much difference if you are tracking the car, but I could see where the difference could easily factor in, say, leisurely/spirited mountain driving. My iron calipered OEM brakes faded like hell after a handful of laps on a very small track with speeds never getting over 100mph

Your steering wheel shake has more to do with pad bed-in. Can't be 100% positive, but it is a safe bet.
