Specifically In an example where debris falls through spark plug holes. I was reading other occurrences and peoples opinions online because I was having a conversation with someone about this. Make and model of car irrelevant... It seems like everybody has an opinion of hypothetical predictions. But let's say for sake of argument a single aluminum or metal shaving fell in from doing a plug change etc, No bigger then the very tip of the pencil. Who has actual experience or evidence that this would Be direct cause of damage or score a cylinder? I would think more likely than not the vacuum of running the motor would blow it out, or It would be burned up before causing serious damage? I'm under the impression that continuous breakdown of bearing and other components where multiple shavings and debris are created is what causes serious cylinder scoring etc. I'm just looking for real knowledge here since all I've seen and heard was "what if" type scenarios, With no actual accounts of aftermath.
