all three of my Z's have standalone ECU's link computers (a New Zealand product) in two and a MoTEC in the other. if you are serious then get an ecu, but be preapred to spend those estimates seem reasonable except the dyno time is understated I find 1/3 cost 1/3 install base tune 1/3 dyno. So handy if you plan on making changes, so easy, but of course dyno time each time. As with everything most expensive option but best option assuming you have a good tuner.
