Message	mechanic suggested it does not warrrant it. Did you really look at what he is going to charge you to do this work? Think there is motivation there to sell you something? The fact that you do not know why you would need a standalone suggests that you really do not need one and would be just as happy with a good out-of-the box tune from a reputable company.....and you could spend that money on say some SMICs.
