Message notice they still felt compelled to retain the targa roof? Who honestly wants a targa roof? I dont think Porsche even bothers offering it anymore.

It's a good thing IMO to retain signature styling cues when they manage to become endearing to a loyal customer base. You typically dont get to pick what it is the customers latch onto. So when your product is lucky enpough to make that sort of connection, it seems really counter-productive to do away with it.

Just think of all the cars GM might have sold if the GTO was really a GTO and not some rebadged Aussy car. American car buyers are finicky, and in the high-end sportscar segment, they see through crap like that.

"What a curiosity our new political correctness has made of our public spaces. Let your sex tape loose on the Internet and
be rewarded with your own TV show; photograph a crucifix in a jar of urine and our museums will vie to exhibit it; occupy someone else’s
property and you will be hailed by the president for your keen social conscience. But call people who blow up, behead, and mutilate, “savage” —
and polite society will find you offensive."
