first try clay bar. if that fails, try soft art store eraser. If you can't get it off that way you may need to resort to abrasives but I'd guess that more often then not its possible to get the contamination off without cutting into your paint. disclaimer: This sounds like i really know what im talking about. This has worked for me, but i'm no expert/pro.
