Message The original poster had already set his mind on the 530's, but stated that he thought he wouldnt be satisfied with the top end.

Then Mr Awesome comes in and says that SP700's make more low end, although he fails to mention that his car has a LOT more work done to the motor than the original poster has, or indicated any intention to.

This is followed by a SP500 owner who is seeking to replace his smoking turbos and sounds like he wants the same thing as the OP (who was initially set on SP530's), as much low end as possible with bigger top end, and asks about SP600's

And you tell everyone to forget SP600's simply because they are an old design, regardless of whether or not they provide exactly what the discussion is about....getting more top end out of SP5XX-class turbos without losing low-end....or minimizing losses to an absolute minimum on pump gas.

Nowhere is the debate over SP500's v SP530's. Obviously if all things are equal, the newer/improved tech is favorable over predecessor design....but that wasn't the issue. The issue is: Where can I get 530 low-end with 700 top end? or at least a bridge between the two for street performance?

Looking at Joe's curve on 93oct, the SP600's absolutely warrant looking into. The question now should be, what is the newer/better tech version of the SP600 turbo? and then, depending on the difference in price, does the newer SP600 tech warrant the extra expense, if any?

"What a curiosity our new political correctness has made of our public spaces. Let your sex tape loose on the Internet and be rewarded with your own TV show; photograph a crucifix in a jar of urine and
our museums will vie to exhibit it; occupy someone else’s property and you will be hailed by the president for your keen social conscience. But call people who blow up, behead and mutilate “savage” — and
polite society will find you offensive."
