| If you are driving it on the street and you have high ambient temps, it certainly helps a ton in stop and go traffic. If you are driving it on a road course, it's better to not have the fan shroud, but have some shrouding on the front of the radiator to better direct air through it. Personally, I don't run a shroud any more because I can't get it to fit on my SPL radiator properly. I'll probably attempt to fab something out of thin gauge aluminum that will allow me to run the fan shroud. Another factor is how close the fan is to the surface of the radiator. With the thicker aftermarket performance radiators, it's closer and I'm sure that negatively affects how well the fan can draw air through the radiator.
