Message	speaker grill. on the side closer to the driver of course and aimed up to face you. Sounded great to me and everything blended well. I dont think component speakers give as good a sound. And every car that ive been in that had the tweeters mounted up closer to the dash I was able to "pick the sound apart" and get to much independent hi's coming at me.
