| This story brings back memories that got my Z where it is today. I can't tell off hand if those are 48P heads, but from my untrained eye, I'd question whether or not the PS Head is reusable. Our cars in pure stock form have alot of charm, but the factory boost and oil pressure guages are crap.
I want to clarify that the actual factory sensors are more accurate and robust than what are currently available after-market. Its the guages themselves that are the issues. I have no doubt that at some point your oil pres/sensor was trying to tell you to turn the car off and even if the guage was working correctly, without some type of warning you would've probably never noticed it anyway. In moving forward with your rebuild, I hope you consider some type of replacement for these "dummy" guages. There are a number of options out there that will maintain a clean/stock look, while adding the safety/reliability.
