On occasion under extreme suspension compression I hear a little rub on the rear fender (upper portion lip area). With all the city driving I do I hear that sound only once a year on those unexpected bumps on unknown roads. I have tried those 18x9.5s with 285-30-18s up front with no issues from lock to lock surprisingly. My guess any more offset greater than 40mm you will start to have issues with rubbing. My ideal setup would be 18x9.5 front and rear with 285-30-18s on all corners. I could actually rotate tires and get more life out of that expensive rubber.
