| have some knowledge of electronics it isn't hard. Use a reed switch and glue it behind a plastic trim panel that's convenient to reach when starting the car. Put a small bar magnet on a key chain or similiar -- wave the magnet over the trim panel to cause the reed switch switch to activate, very hidden. Reed switches can't handle a lot of current (if too much current they latch closed). Need to do a transistor/FET driver into a relay - but a very simple circuit. Can even do 15 sec or so time delay - wave the magnet and then take a few seconds to start the car. Not a bad idea to add a little buzzer to the circuit -- so when the magnet is waved the buzzer it tells you the reed switch actually closed. FYI: Reed switch -- same idea as burglar alarm window sensors - magnet and a switch near each other. Window opens, magnet moves away, switch does its thing and alarm triggers.
