Message to determine correction values when between set points. Fact is it can and does multiplication/division. Yes the LCD likely has a built in driver chip that translates data received from the microcontroller into actual pixels on the screen. The microcontroller required to send these commands with data to the LCD aswell as accept voltage inputs, outputs and key pad inputs is going to be fairly sophisticated and has no problem performing different types of math.

Your missing the point though. Mr. Selin posted about his product being superior to afc's since afc's are subject to error due to interpolation. With all due respect I believe this claim is based upon assumptions and many people like you took it for gospel. Again, I urge to re-read the apexi neo manual to understand why and when it uses look up tables. We cannot assume it uses look up tables to determine base output voltage.

Selin's words:

"Because my unit solves an actual conversion equation instead of referencing a lookup table, it's not subject to error from interpolation. It was tested on a superflow flowbench to be incredibly accurate all the way up to the maximum flow rating of about 850 CFM. (much more so than a single MAF alone, especially at high flow) The SAFC is a lookup table based device. I have one in my hands for testing and will share the results as they become available."

My whole beef with this statement is we don't have proof that the selin translator is more accurate then the apexi afc's but when someone highly regarded like Mr. Selin makes a statement that may have been based on a assumption everybody takes it for fact. I have nothing against Jim Selin and don't know him personally. I do however see him as incredibably knowledgable based on his postings on TT.net and do have nothing but respect for him.

Perhaps Mr. Selin knows something we don't know about the Apexi afc's but since he never replied to my question in that original new product thread I assumed his claims were based upon assumptions.
