They tested light vs "heavy" wheels on track and dyno. It's probably not the one Hipendicular is speaking of (pretty sure I know which one he's referring to), but it's one nonetheless. As much as I agree in the feel and physics aspects of there being a difference between weights, it's hard to argue against real-world testing.
